Need French series/movies

Hi cf,

So I have been studying French for the past 2 years and I have reached a level that I'd call I'm ok, but here is the thing. My listening tests are really bad and by that I mean really bad. My motivation has dropped cause of that and I really feel like I need to get better an oral part of the language. So without further addon
I need some series/movies to watch, with or without subtitles.

thank me later
I wouldn't use that movie to start with comprehending French properly tbh :>
Decent amount of slang indeed, but meh, I enjoyed that movie :P
Yea, that's why ^^
It's still better than nothing, besides I could actually watch it just for the enjoynment :D
You could watch Francois Truffaut's movies, they are a bit old fashioned but they talk a lot (not that fast, it's pretty clear iirc) and it's very witty so you would appreciate 'em as well. Can't think of anything else at the moment.
thanks mate, I will take a look at them :)
Asterix & Obelix
hard movie to start with, but an awesome one
Well I just recommended it because it's hilarious but I've watched it with subs

no idea what is useful there for you :)
u need Taxi movie!

Yamakashi and Léon also nice
MarseillePlus belle la vie.

Les visiteurs 1 & 2!
You'll learn old middle ages and current french :) hilarious ones
SODA. lolxd
Taxi also full of slang iirc, not sure it would fit for a start.

The best french movie ever :

Le fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain the dream come true -

Indigènes - this is great

La grande vadrouille you will die laughing with it - best moment -

il veut apprendre... pas regarder des bons films ,PAPY!
ben il apprendra avec ça couillon :) surtout avec Dobermann ^^
you should watch movies like "kirikou et la sorcière" or just stick to "ARTE" (documentary TV channel). + 1 for rashomon .
Thanks, I'm downloading kirikou atm, but I can't watch ARTE in my country. Erreur
Cette vidéo n'est pas disponible dans votre pays.
Mais ou est donc passée la 7ème compagnie?
La Femme Nikita (1990)
Watch if you liked Léon. Jean Reno also has a minor role in this which is pretty awesome.

Le Professionel (1981)
Starring Jean-Paul Belmondo, epic guy. With Soundtrack by Ennio Morricone.

Then there are a lot of good older french films.

Le Samouraï (1967)
A movie that has inspired many of the best directors out there, such as Martin Scorsese, Quentin Tarantino, the Coen Brothers and John Woo. It does not have much dialog though (maybe that's actually a good thing)

Then there are plenty of other good crime films that I've watched, Bob Le Flambeur (1956) & Le Cercle Rouge (1971) comes to mind.
starting with kid movies would actualy be nice, disney collection

then once u're comfortable with it

go for adult movies (not those 18+)
Watch Joséphine ange gardien, no slang, lots of talks, and the main character is a midget!
