As some of you may have guessed, and as announced during the showmatch streams, we've been planning to host a cup to launch us into the new year. We'll be running a ODC on the start of the year after you've all returned from sipping eggnog and mulled wines and filling your bellies with delicious Christmas dinners.
The responses to our latest survey made it clear, 6on6 ODC and 6on6 Team League are most favored, we'll have a league planned a little later in the year in preparation for the LAN!
Dust off your MP40s once more to kick off the new year on the 9th of January.
We'll be using the same format as the latest Anniversary cup, an AB group format followed by a single elimination playoff to determine the winner. Depending on sign-ups we may do things a little differently this time around, though we aim to have at least two divisions.
We'll also allow you to sign up as solo if you do not have a team or don't think there is enough time to find one on short notice. Any solo sign ups will be paired and sorted into a Division 2 team with other solos with an assigned captain for each roster.
Additionally, your team captains will be able to vote for the maps to be included into the map pool for this event. The 2 maps with the most votes will be added to the core map pool (adlernest, beach, frostbite, ice, village).
