has anyone a script like this:

when you walk: fov 80
when you press MOUSE1 to shoot: fov 65

It's for CoD4, and i'd like to test it out

I dont think its a nice idea. If its look like ET you need to change your sensitivity too.
olo
google, keyword +vstr
since when does cod4 have a fov system?
Since its release.

in ET it would be something like:

bind mouse1 "+vstr fovnarrow fovwide"
set fovnarrow "cg_fov 65; sensitivity X"
set fovwide "cg_fov 80; sensitivity Y"

where X & Y are whatever sensitivities work for you for those fov values. i'd imagine it would work the same in COD. i had a bind like this in ET for a while, but i didn't actually use it - i just always used the higher fov. cute idea, less useful in practice.
You actually forgot the shooting part in the script.

Oops. So, yeah, uh,

bind mouse1 "+vstr fovnarrow fovwide"
set fovnarrow "cg_fov 65; sensitivity X; +attack"
set fovwide "cg_fov 80; sensitivity Y; -attack"

Or whatever. I never bound it to my attack key, i tried binding it to "c" with +/-movedown for long distance, and to a side button on my mouse.

Sens1: X

Sens2: Y = X/fov1 * fov2
Parent
thats pretty shit isnt it?

SensX: 2

SensY: 2 / 90*100 = 0,00..02 or smth?
Parent
errr wat?

2 / 90 * 100 = 2,222..
Parent
well u cant change fov in cod like in et if i remember correctly[played 1&2 dno about 4]... its locked @ 90, except zoom which every weapon has...
No, it's not.
cg_fov 65-80 @ CoD4 + zoom (not affected by the fov)
Parent
always knew cod4 is fucked up
Parent
/bind MOUSE1 "+shoot;fov 65;sensitivity thingi ***"
and some other button with /bind * "fov 85'"
fov 65 wtf....i thought its only possible from 90 to 120

öÔ
thats in ET, in cod4 its 65 to 80
Parent
ah lolk..didnt see that its about cod
