Nah, not windows firewall ;) It happend to me about 2 years ago, so i don't remember too clearly, but if you don't have zone alarm installed it must be a different problem :)
like someone said this card need good PSU, so most likely this is the problem [380 W in stress each]. I tested several models [I had this luck] and it's generating lot's of heat + drivers aren't always working [ yes I'm talking about those you got with card ]

and, my PC crash all the time directly after loading the map.
sp i don t think she s overheating, because the fan is not working
sry, i understood ur fan doesnt work at any time!
So it sounds like ur graphic card gets enough power for win-applications, if it comes to applications that need more video-power, ur video card doesnt get enough elctrical power

hört sich echt so an als obs an Deinem Netzteil liegt! Die GraKa scheint unter WIN genug Strom zu bekommen, sobald es jedoch an leistungsfressende Grafik-Anwendungen (zB Spiele) geht, scheint Sie nicht mehr genug Saft zu bekommen und daher setzt der Lüfter aus...in dem Fall schaltet sich die GraKa Natürlich sofort ab, um nichts kapuut zu machen, und daher stürzt dein Win ab!
also kein Temperatur-prob imo sondern eins an Deinem Netzteil (PSU)...also: mit nem anderen Spiel checken ob sie da auch abstürzt ;-)
evtl hast nen Kumpel der ein 500W-600W Netzteil in seinem PC hat, wo Du die GraKa zum Test mal einbauen kannnst ;)
